Several of our customers run their whole shop without holding a single box. An order comes in on their site, they forward the name and date to us, we engrave that piece and ship it straight to their customer. Nothing identifying us goes in the parcel. That is blind drop shipping, and it is a normal way to work — but only if a few things are set up properly.
Your documents. Your packing slip, your insert card, your branding on the box if you want it. Not ours. No pricing of ours, no company name, no factory markings. Your customer sees a parcel from your brand.
This is what makes drop shipping viable for gifts. Send us the name and date per order and we engrave per unit — a different text on every single piece if that is how you sell. Because we engrave with a laser there is no plate and no setup fee, so one personalised piece costs the same to decorate as the hundredth.
Shipping time expectations. A parcel under 2 kg travels as air parcel and typically takes 10–20 calendar days. Over 2 kg it goes by express courier, typically 3–6 working days. Add production: 3–5 working days from stock, 7–15 for custom or OEM. If your storefront promises delivery in a week and the piece is being engraved to order and travelling as air parcel, you have a problem before you start. Publish a realistic window.
Artwork that will not engrave. Vector artwork is best — AI, EPS or SVG with text converted to outlines. A clean high-resolution PNG works for most marks. A screenshot of a logo will not. We return a proof for approval before production, but the further upstream you catch this the better.
Drop shipping moves the inventory risk to us, not the demand risk. You still have to sell the thing. What it buys you is the ability to list fifty designs without buying fifty designs — which, for a category where taste decides everything, is usually the constraint that matters.
DAP, DDP, EXW and the surprise invoice at the border. What our published prices include, and what you still pay.
Everyone claims to be a factory. Four checks that separate the ones who make it from the ones who buy it and mark it up.
Veneer over MDF and stained lighter timber are both sold as walnut. Three checks you can do on a sample in under a minute.
