Most cufflink and tie-clip styles can be ordered either as a complete set — box plus the metal pieces — or as the empty case on its own, if you already have hardware you want to present in wood. The two have different prices; each product page shows the option matching the photograph and links to the other.
Every piece starts as solid American black walnut — sawn lumber, not veneer and not laminate. We buy from hardwood mills in Ohio and New York and ship it kiln-dried to our workshop in Wenzhou. Our walnut is sourced from FSC chain-of-custody certified hardwood mills in the United States.
Moisture content is held between 8% and 13%. Outside that band, wood moves — and a lid that fits in our workshop stops fitting by the time it reaches you. After cutting, parts rest for a month before assembly so the grain can release its stress. It is the slowest step we do, and the reason a box you order today still closes properly in three years.
Cutting is done on a 150W CO₂ laser; marking on a 30W CO₂ laser. Engraving is burned into the grain, not printed on top, so it does not wear off with handling.
The smallest character we can hold cleanly is 1 mm tall. Below that the strokes blur together — if your logo has fine detail, send it to us and we will tell you honestly whether it will hold at your size before you commit to a run.
Minimum is 10 pieces per style. The price band is set by the total pieces in your order, not by how many of one style — so mixing designs moves you up the table rather than penalising you. Prices on this site are delivered, air freight included; import duty and local VAT are payable on arrival.
Stock items dispatch the same day. Custom and OEM runs are 7–15 days depending on the decoration.
